TBC Newsletter Summer 2023

Pastor’s Activities
In July Pastors within the city were able to meet with The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. The focus was to bring healthcare to the neighborhood children. Unfortunately, the mobile was not able to come to TBC due to street construction. In August the RMCM was able to provide service to four locations: The Dream Center on the 8th, True Love the 9th, Community Baptist Church the 23rd, and Pilgrim Baptist Church the 24th. All services were free. They provided wellness visits, immunizations, screenings (hearing, vision, developmental, point of care testing lead, strep, urine, fluoride treatments, childhood health and safety education).
Pastor attended The Global Leadership Summit at the Grand Wayne August 3rd and 4th. One purpose of the conference was to ignite transformation in churches, companies and communities. Pastor Martin said the conference was an excellent leadership training networking opportunity for many.
Finally, Pastor Martin attended the news conference with Mayor Henry, along with other Black Pastors on a new group called the Ubuntu. Ubuntu means “I am because we are”. The Ubuntu Collaborative will focus on, Leadership, Collaboration, Connection, Disciples, Family, Economic, Finances and Support Ministry Administration.
Trustees
Three individuals were on trial for 12 weeks to see if they were willing to become full time TBC church trustees (Eric Porter, Neska Perry and Carolyn Ward). Their trial deadline was August 2023 and all accepted. They will be installed soon.

We thank all these members for their service and commitment.
